Copying Others

Bible Verses

1 Cor 15: 33 KJV. Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
2 Cor 6:14 KJV. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Prov. 13:20 KJV. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

When you begin to make friends with wise people, with children of God, they’ll get you up. Declare out of the circle of friends and people that will take you out of the presence of God. The temptation to copy people comes in different ways.

  1. It comes as an enticement. Prov. 1:10 KJV. My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
Gen. 39:7-10 KJV. And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? 10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
Prov. 16:29 KJV. A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
When you run away from enticement, problems may come. People may make caricatures of you, abandon you, and even accuse you unjustly. Don’t be enticed, for your end will be better.
  2. It comes as Personal Observation.
