Human Relevance

God created man for man to be relevant to Him (God), to be relevant to men, to the environment where he was made to occupy, and to himself. Man’s relevance is classified into four parts from the point of the Word of God.

So what are the four parts of human relevance?

1. Man was made to be the light.
   Matt. 5:14-15 KJV. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. ¹⁵ Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
   Matt. 9:8 KJV. But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
   John 8:12 KJV. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
   Isa 60:1-2 KJV. Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. ² For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
2. We are the salt of the world.
   Matt 5:13 KJV. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

How can a man be the salt of the world?

1. By the way you speak. You should be mindful of your words, how you speak, and how you correct people. You should correct people with words properly.
2. God made us to be an instrument. Therefore, He uses us as a channel.
   Jer. 51:20 KJV. Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;
   Judges 7:20 KJV. And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon.
3. By showing and manifesting love.
   1 John 4:7-8 KJV. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. ⁸ He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
   John 15:12 KJV. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
   John 13:35 KJV. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
   James 2:15 KJV. If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

Consequences of not being relevant.

1. God will spew you out of his mouth.
   Rev. 3:16 KJV. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
2. You will attract curses upon yourself.
   Matt. 21:19 KJV. And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
3. You’re giving people the license to deal with you as they deem fit.
   Rom. 6:23 KJV. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
