Psalm 127:3-5 KJV. Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

There are several things you need to know about children.

1. Children see. They’re not blind.

Exodus 12:25 KJV. And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
Joshua 4:21 KJV. And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones?

2. You must understand that children are your students. There are two ways of teaching your children.

  1. Practical training.
  2. Verbal training

Deut. 4:9 KJV. Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;
Eph 6:4 KJV. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

3. Your children are your weapons.

4. Children are to be loved.

Mark 10:13-14 KJV. And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. 14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

5. Children are like olive plants.

Psalm 128:3 KJV. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
Psalm 144:12 KJV. That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:

There are a few things you should know about an olive plant.

  1. The olive plant can live for several years.
  2. It starts to bear fruits at five years.
  3. They are not easy to destroy because of their strong root system.
  4. The olive tree can survive in dry places.
  5. It’s an ancient tree and produces a lot of fruits.
  6. The olive tree is sacred/holy and produces precious fruits.
  7. The oil from the olive tree is anti oxidant.
