Bible Verse – Isa 65:24 (KJV)
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
Some peoples answers are delayed because of a lot of reasons.
Because Sin Is Involved.
Romans 6:1. When you live in sin, the answers to your prayers are limited.
Isa. 59:1-2. Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Answers are delayed because the same people making prayers are living in sin.
Prov. 14:37 (KJV) – Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
You pray amiss.
James 4:3 (KJV). Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Jesus said in Matthew 7:7 that we should ask and we will receive but we ask and do not receive because we want to use our answers for our own personal gain. We want to use it to intimidate others and to show off.
Your answers will be delayed if what you are asking God is for your show off. Sometimes we ask God for money so that will go to the village and show off and shame the people that said we will not make it.
God will answer your prayers when your prayer point is to advance the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). Always ask God for a blessing that will make useful to the Kingdom and every other thing will be added unto you. Find out the will of God concerning you and pray according to it. When we pray according to His will, he hears us.
1 John 5:14 (KJV) – And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
When you and your request comes late.
When you come late to church and church activities your answers will come late.
Isa. 55:6 (KJV) – Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Bear in mind that there is always a time to seek the face of God and there is always a time that you cannot be able to do that. Every prayer you make at the appropriate time counts.
It is not yet time.
1 Peter 5:10 (KJV) – But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
God will take you through the process of establishment and perfections before you get answers to your prayer.
You have not taken a step of faith.
There is always time to take a step of faith. If the woman with the issue of blood had not taken a step of faith, she would not have gotten her healing. The same goes for the blind Bartimaeus – if he didn’t take a step of faith, he’d never have received his sight.
Matthew 9:20-21 (KJV) – And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: 21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
Mark 10:47-48 (KJV) – And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
Because the prophet has not spoken.
The prophet/priest called by God needs to speak over some matter. God prompts the priest to speak over your prayers and so, the answer comes. The office of the prophet is very important that even God had to send a prophet – John the Baptist – to herald the arrival of Jesus and speak.
2 Chron 20:20 (KJV) – And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
