Why Jesus Was Raised From The Dead

Bible Verse – John 11:25-26

John 11:25-26 (KJV)
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Many years ago, God came to the earth in the form of a man through his son Jesus Christ. He laid down his life and died and was buried like other men in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea. But on the third day, he arose from the dead.

Today is Easter Sunday and one of the most important things about this day is the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus was raised from the dead for the three reasons you will see below.

3 Reasons Why Jesus Was Raised From The Dead

01. To Prove God’s Immense Power To Create Or Recreate.

John 11:25-26 (KJV). Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

In Ezekiel Chapter 37, God proved his power of resurrection through his servant Ezekiel and dry bones came to life. God can make the dead come alive. He has the power to make all things possible.

02. As A Testimony To The Resurrection Of The Saints

1 Corinthians 15:16 (KJV). For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 1 Corinthians 15:19 (KJV). If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

This is a testimony that everyone that died in Christ Jesus will rise again.

03. So That We Might Have A New Life

Romans 6:4 (KJV). Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
