When you want to look at yourself and see your face, you look at the mirror. What you see in front of the mirror is a replica of who you are. Standing in front of the mirror removes the chances for assumptions since all that you see in front of the mirror is who you are; there’s no camouflage.
If you’re dark, the mirror shows you that you’re dark. There may be altering-aesthetics that can alter the image. For example, standing in front of the mirror in a room with a red bulb, the image you see in the mirror may have a red tint. But in all, what you see is the same. These aesthetics are the things about life that may try to confuse you.
God by the reason of his truthful nature always declares his stand from the beginning. And for you to live a clear life devoid of confusion, you need to continually look at your life as if from a mirror. Every Christian that must live a life of peace and tranquility must from time to time examine himself at the mirror of life.
This implies examining yourself in the light of what you say you believe in, the happenings around you, and in the truth of the word of God that gives life. If you don’t do it this way, you’ll always being in confusion.
Rom. 9:10-15 (KJV). And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; 11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. 14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
In this bible verse, God truly shows himself for who he is. He choses whom he’ll have mercy on and whom he’ll not have mercy on.
