Making Your Life Work – Phil. 2:12

Making your life work

Bible Verse: Philippians 2:12 (KJV)

It is in your hand to make your life work if you decide and begin to do all that is required of you.

Philippians 2:12 (KJV)
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Joshua 24:14 (KJV)
Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.

Joshua 1:6-7 (KJV)
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

How To Make Your Life Work

1. Seek The Kingdom Interest/God’s Interest

You cannot seek God’s interest and be lost in life. You cannot give God and be empty. You cannot honour God and be dishonored. You cannot seek God’s interest and lose yours. You cannot offer a thousand offerings and miss your night of revelation. In kingdom interest, you give, go for it, and pray for it.

Matthew 6:33 (KJV). But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

1 Samuel 2:30 (KJV). Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV). Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:9-10 (KJV). Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

2 Chronicles 1:6-7 (KJV). And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it. 7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

2. Commitment

Be committed.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 (KJV). Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Here are three things you should be committed to.

  1. Commitment to business. Proverbs 22:29 (KJV). Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
  2. Commitment to kingdom interests. Matthew 6:33 (KJV). But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
  3. Commitment to family. Colossians 3:19-22 (KJV). Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. 20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. 21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. 22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

NOTE: You must not fail in any of the three mentioned above. If you do, it will affect your life.

Some men do not talk softly to their wives except when they are broke. This is an error. Successful marriages and homes are built on character, prayers and other factors as well. Until you show commitment, it will not produce remarkable results.

3. Love.

1 Corinthians 13:13 (KJV). And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

John 3:16 (KJV). For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 4:7-8 (KJV). Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

John 8:11 (KJV). She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Romans 5:8 (KJV). But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

2 Corinthians 9:6 (KJV). But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

NOTE: Showing love is sowing a seed and he that sows sparingly, reaps sparingly.

God Bless You.
