Grace is a free gift and you can access it only if you do what is required. For instance, if your brother sends you money from abroad, you need to go to the bank, present your details, and allow the people at the bank to work with your details and then attend to you.
For you to take grace, a lot of things are required from you. The first one is faith.
- Faith. Until you believe, a lot of things may not work out easily for you. Faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the fulfilment of what we don’t see. It’s also the attitude of a person – seen or unseen – manifesting in thought or in character which shows an absolute confidence in God.
Heb. 11:6 KJV. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Eph. 2:8 KJV. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: - Discipline. The grace of God isn’t a license to lasciviousness.
Gal. 5:13 KJV. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Prov. 22:29 KJV. Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. - Service: Doing the work of God.
Matt. 10:10 KJV. Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
2 Tim. 2:15 KJV. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Who is a workman?- A workman is one who studies.
- A workman is one who follows. Mk. 4:19 KJV.
- A true workman works freely, not for his master to pay him. 2 Cor 9:12 KJV.
