What does it mean to handle difficult matters? What are the processes involved in handling difficult matters?
How Can I Handle Difficult Matters?
Read on to find out the things you need to do to handle difficult matters.
1. Identify the whole truth of the matter.
One of the first things you need to do when you’re faced with a difficult matter is to identify the whole truth of the matter. The whole truth here includes the past, the present, and the future; the past has a link to the present and the future. Memories of the past if not properly dealt with, these can cause a matter to linger on.
Jn. 8:32 KJV
Ps 51:6 KJV
2. Have You Prayed (Phil. 4:6 KJV)
Another major thing you must do when you’re faced with matters is to pray. There are different approaches to praying towards difficult matters. They are listed below.
- Prayer of inquiry. 1 Sam. 30:8 KJV. This prayer is done to know the mind of God concerning a matter.
- Cry for help. Ps. 50:15 KJV. This is a call for God to help you in a situation.
- Prayer of handover. Ps. 55:22 KJV. Learn to cast your cares unto God, handing over the matter into his hands.
- Prayer for instruction. Ex. 14:15-16 KJV. God gives instructions on how to do things.
- Prayer for warfare.
3. The Testimony of Your Heart (Prov. 4:23 KJV)
Learn to keep your heart free from the matters and worries that burden you. Don’t make up your mind on a matter while praying for it. By doing so, you’re restricting yourself from receiving answers from God since you’ve already given yourself an answer.
Zero your mind/heart on issues and apply the word of God.
4. Physical Actions
Your actions when you face challenges count. Moses lifted up his hands, Joshua commanded the sun to stand still, the king of Moab sacrificed his son, etc.
Ex. 17:11 KJV.
2 Kings 3:26-27 KJV.
Jn 3:16 KJV.
Lk 6:12 KJV.
Isa 20:2-3 KJV.
