Having a double mind simply refers to someone having a divided interest in two things and wanting those two things at the same time. A double-minded person is unstable in all his ways. If you’re a double-minded person, you’ll not be able to receive things from God.
James 1:6 KJV. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Areas Where People Have Double Minds
- In the area of praying.
James 1:5,8 KJV. (5)If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (8)A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
1 Jn 5:14 KJV. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
James 4:3 KJV. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. - In hearing without doing. As a christian, when you hear the word of God and when you read the bible, put what you’ve heard and read into practice. Do the word.
