Acts 12:12 KJV. And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

There are different things to do if you want to build a Godly home where everyone shows good family values.

How to Build A Godly Home

  1. Think.
    Luke 14:28 KJV. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
    Prov 23:7 KJV. For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
  2. Take responsibility.
    Eph 5:22 & 25 KJV. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
  3. Allow God into your home.
    1. Make prayer a must.
    2. Make Bible study a must.
    3. Make attendance to church mandatory.
    4. Practice Christianity everyday.

15 Things You Should Not Do As A Mother

  1. Don’t fight with your husband or with your children.
  2. Don’t prefer a child above the other. Let your love for them be equal.
  3. Don’t nag, instead, seek and follow advice.
  4. Don’t squander things. (Don’t be a squandermania).
    Prov. 31:11 KJV. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
  5. Don’t abandon your home or expose it to hunger.
    Prov. 31:14 KJV. She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
  6. Don’t love sleep.
    Prov. 31:15 KJV. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
  7. Don’t be a consumer, be a producer.
    Prov. 31:16 KJV. She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
  8. Don’t be lazy, be hardworking.
    Prov. 31:17 KJV. She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
  9. Don’t be selfish.

  10. Don’t play with your children’s welfare.
    Prov. 31:21 KJV. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
  11. Don’t dress shabbily. Dress moderately.
    Prov. 31:22 KJV. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
  12. Don’t disgrace your husband or ridicle him in public.
    Prov. 31:23 KJV. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
  13. Don’t cut corners nor seek unwholesome gains.
    Prov. 31:27 KJV. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
  14. Don’t rejoice before your time. There’s a time for everything.
    Prov. 31:25 KJV. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
  15. Don’t forget to pray for yourself always.
