Family Order – Exo 20:5-6

[1st Service 14/6/2020] [Bible Verse: Exodus 20:5 KJV]

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

God is interested in the family and God identifies a family with their pattern Beginning with the father. He blesses and curses a family based on their pattern except if the blood of Jesus singles someone out.

Exodus 20:5-6 (KJV). Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Parents, set the right order for your family so that they’ll have a good future. What kind of order? Set order of service to God. Let everyone know in your family that God is the person you’ll serve in that family. Set an order for Bible reading, for going to church, etc.

The order you set can make God jealous of you or very happy with you. When you don’t set an order,a pattern is established. This pattern becomes a bloodline in the family.

One of the things that can make God settle you quickly is when you decide to serve him and decide in your heart that your family must serve him just as Abraham did.

Genesis 18:18-19 (KJV). Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

If you don’t have an order in your family, you will have issues with your family in the long run and this may become a generational problem.

Proverbs 30:11-14 (KJV) 11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. 12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. 13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. 14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

You can reset order into a child with the rod.

Proverbs 29:15 (KJV). The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
