The Day Of The Lord – 2 Pet. 3:10-14

The Day Of The Lord

Bible Verse: 2 Peter 3:10-14

2 Peter 3:10-14 (KJV).
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

A day is coming and it is the day of the Lord but we don’t know the day. In Matt. 24:36, Jesus said even angels don’t know the day. When this day comes, there will be no chance for repentance. To stand on this day, you must truly repent with all your heart.

That day will have no regard for your status, ecclesiastical order, and who you are. What you’ve done in secret will be exposed. God doesn’t want anyone to perish with that day. But it takes you true repentance.

Matthew 24:36 (KJV). But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

On that day, sinners will be punished and the heavens will pass away and the earth will melt like wax. The powers that fight against the Lord and the nations that fight against God will be destroyed. It shall be a day of total destruction according to God’s word in Isaiah 30:6.

God is warning you! Come back. Stop doing those things that go contrary to the word of God.
